The Craft Barn’s 2015 Calendar Challenge – March

The Craft Barn’s Calender Challenge theme for March is Yellow and rabbits

Full details of the challenge including rules of entry etc can be found on The Craft Barn’s new blog site thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.co.uk

I have decided that my underlying theme for these calendar challenges is to use a different background technique for each month, which so far so good, though only 3 months in lol.

Now the March challenge of yellow, not a favourite colour, but in the our Saturday craftroom sessions we have been playing with the “Blackened book technique” for our journal covers and I had made up some acrylic paint sprays. what have we got left over? Yellow, green, ooh and some gold, that will do.

Spray on some colour scrunch and wrap in some cling film, leave for 5 mins and one background ready for over stamping with the March stamp in butterscotch Adirondack ink.

After a rummage though my stamp files I managed to find some of “Sheena’s” daffodil stamps. Stamped some out and embossed with gold and inked with distress inks, I think thats enough yellow now, getting carried away with the springtime feel, now rabbits? I vaguely remember, yes! Clarity’s bunny stamp set I bought last year, all sorted. Even found some mini pom poms so had to use them too.
