In The craftroom 13th September – a belated post
Oops, so sorry I forgot to blog last weeks crafty activity , – it must have been the due to our trip to Catterick on the Sunday morning for the “Clarity Stamp” open day.
Our Christmas crafting was temporally put on hold as we were a bit thin on the ground this week. With Irene on holiday and Jackie having to work. we decided to have a “do want you want day” which gave us a chance to catch up on some projects we needed to complete.
Lisa had been asked to make a box card for a wedding so had wanted to get started with that
here is a picture of her finished card, thought he photo does not do it justice. All the panels have been made with embossed Centura pearl card and lighting inked with Victorian Velvet DI for a soft pink hue. gorgeous.
I had another (this makes 3) baby boy card to make as a work colleague is due imminently.
I had had the idea when I made the last one to make it into more of a keepsake album than just a card so I added a few more cards (stuck back to back) to make the pages and added some vellum pockets for keepsakes.
This leads me on to the Clarity open day at Catterick which Lisa, Diane and I went to on Sunday, and for which I am blaming my memory lapse for this blog post.
It was a lovely day, and would like to thank Barbara Grey, her Design team and the rest of the crew for putting in so much hard work to make it happen. There were plenty of demonstrations, hints and tips and although there were a fair few people, it wasn’t to crowded and we got to watch and learn and chat too.
Hopefully this will become an annual treat for us Northern crafters
and it will be back to our Christmas theme next week as I have an Advent calender project in mind .
