There was no craft room last weekend as I escaped from work for a couple of days down to Indigoblu HQ in Retford for some well earned r & r (ha).
I had a whale of a time playing with lots of different mixed media products like Kroma Crackle,(this is fabulous stuff and can get some really good effects with it too), gilding flakes and flitter glue, Kay’s own Cottage range of acrylic paints (which I loved that much I had to have them all), plaster of paris oh and I nearly forgot the ice resin (I need to find some serious time to play with this stuff)
Friday’s project was a wall art frame ( completed project pictured above) which used many of the products mentioned above along with techniques like stamping on fabric and decoupage. Saturday was a ‘book of treasures’ where we got to grips with a few paint techniques. There is a artificial tea light in a holder inside the book (sorry forgot to take a picture so will add later)
If you get chance to go to one of these retreats go, you will have a fantastic time (check out their web site next week as I think they are releasing next years retreat dates) , Kay and her staff at Indigoblu go all out to make you feel at home and look after your every need. There are plenty of refreshments and to top it off you get goody bags as well. We had so much fun and time over ran but nobody seemed to mind, I didn’t manage to finish my projects there but they are finished now. Hope you like them
